Let me introduce myself / Je me présente

I have extensive years of working in the non-profit sector supporting both individuals and their families.  My most recent work has involved leading workshops for families and their infants with a focus on pregnancy, parenting and prenatal and postnatal nutritional services.  I understand the importance of self-care, and live a well-balanced life.  To maintain a healthy lifestyle, I have become a certified Usui Reiki Master.  I am passionate about supporting others along their life journey.  This has evolved into providing Reiki treatments increasingly on a one-on-one basis with my clients.  In my practice as a Reiki practitioner, I use a gentle, calming, non-judgmental and comforting approach in a safe, peaceful and relaxing environment.

J’ai travaillé pendant de nombreuses années dans le secteur sans but lucratif dans lequel j’offrais des services de soutien à des individus et à leurs familles. Dans mon dernier emploi, j’animais, pour les familles et leurs enfants en bas âge, des ateliers portant notamment sur les grossesses, l’éducation des enfants et la nutrition prénatale et postnatale. Je comprends l’importance de prendre soin de soi-même et de vivre une vie équilibrée. Afin de maintenir un mode de vie sain, je suis devenue maître accrédité du reiki usui. J’ai à cœur d’aider les autres dans le cadre du cheminement de leur vie, ce qui m’a amené à fournir davantage de traitements reiki personnalisés à mes clients. What is Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing on a physical, emotional and mental level. It is administered by the "laying-on of the hands" either directly over or on the body (with the client’s permission) and is based on the idea that an unseen "universal life energy" flows through all living things.  During a Reiki treatment, this energy flows from the practitioner to the client and serves to balance energy in the body.  Reiki is a complementary treatment that promotes the body’s ability to heal and is part of an integrative healing or wellness program.  It is not meant to be used in the place of medical or psychological services.  

What to expect during a Reiki treatment?

During a Reiki treatment, the client is usually lying down and is fully clothed.  Each client relates experiencing something different during a treatment.  Some people will feel their energy shift while others find it relaxing and comforting.  It is common for people to fall asleep during a treatment.  If that happens, one still gets all of the same benefits from the treatment.
